Below are some of the workshops that CWGHR has held in the recent past.

Positive Outlook

How to Work with Depressed Clients Living with Episodic Disabilities.

Positive Outlook provided valuable tools for front-line health and social service professionals who meet directly with clients and feel that depression is limiting the client's quality of life.  It was a mental health workshop for front-line service providers who are not mental health specialists.  The workshop was best suited for:

Positive Outlook used practical real-life scenarios to encourage problem-solving around how best to approach and understand difficult mental health-related issues.  It provided the tools necessary to ease the burden of depression on both client and professional alike. 

CWGHR offered the Positive Outlook Workshop in several Canadian cities, as follows:

The Canadian Working Group on HIV and Rehabilitation (CWGHR) is a national charitable organization that promotes innovation and excellence in rehabilitation in the context of HIV and related conditions. Our membership and activities are multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary. CWHGR is a leader and catalyst for improved rehabilitation services for people living with HIV and related conditions through integrated research, education, policy and practice.

CWGHR has three primary mandates: 1) coordinating and advising on issues of disability and rehabilitation in the context of HIV; 2) supporting and undertaking initiatives in rehabilitation in the context of HIV; 3) encouraging pan-disease collaboration to address issues experienced by people living with HIV and related conditions and those with other complex episodic or chronic diseases.
